PracticeEHR is an EHR platform for independent practices. This work was delivered during a previous in-house role and is presented here as founder-led professional experience, not as a Growthonics Digital client engagement.
The Challenge
Electronic health records is one of the most contested categories in health IT. Established vendors, review sites and comparison pages compete for the same search demand, and practices research extensively before they ever request a demo.
For a platform in that market, being found only when someone already knows the brand is not enough. The goal was visibility in the category itself, in front of practices evaluating EHR options, supported by a route from that visibility to real product adoption.
The Approach
The program was an integrated one, built around EHR and health-IT demand generation rather than a single channel.
- Search visibilitySEO built around how practices search for EHR software and related workflows, so the platform could compete for the category term rather than only its own name.
- Paid demand captureGoogle Ads used to capture high-intent searches and support organic visibility while the search footprint developed.
- Social presenceSocial activity that kept the platform visible and credible with practice audiences between search touchpoints.
- One shared goalSearch, paid and social were planned together so each channel supported the same outcome: reaching practices when they evaluate EHR platforms.

Why It Mattered
Ranking in the top three for the category’s defining term signals relevance at the exact moment a buyer starts looking. Active users show the platform was being adopted, not just discovered. Together they describe visibility that sits alongside real usage, which is the standard we hold healthcare growth work to.
The takeaway for other EHR and health-IT teams: category visibility, paid capture and brand presence work best when they are managed as one acquisition system.
